WINDSOR-FREER PARENT ASSOCIATION
(HELPING BRING TEACHERS, PARENTS AND KIDS TOGETHER)
The Windsor-Freer Parent Association, WFPA, is a non-profit volunteer organization that is committed to enriching the educational environment for all Windsor students, K-8. We are involved at Windsor Elementary, Freer Elementary, Windsor Intermediate Center, and Windsor Middle School.
Our mission is to create the kind of school community where parents, teachers, and administrators can do their best work – and so can our children. We really need your help to continue to build the supportive, caring atmosphere that makes our school outstanding. Consider becoming involved with WFPA and your child’s school; what a great way to get more involved in your child’s life!
WFPA is the perfect way to make a difference in your child’s school-life. Please take a moment to glance at the attached sheets. It better informs you on the many different activities we do throughout the school year and explains ways in which you can help. We sponsor many activities outside of school hours and we need volunteers that are available during these activities, too.
We encourage you to attend our monthly meetings even if your schedule does not allow the time to volunteer during the school day. We’re always looking for new faces and ideas. Our meetings are normally on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00pm in the WFPA room, C5, at the Intermediate Center.
Additional information on our current activities and meeting dates is available on the Windsor website: windsor.k12.mo.us, “Community” menu, “WFPA – Parents’ Association”.
When parents get connected to the school, children do better. Research shows children whose parents are involved get better grades, do better on tests, and have fewer discipline problems at school. Come and make a difference in your child’s life!
Thanks and we look forward to seeing you!
