Windsor C-1 Event Parking for August 21st Solar Eclipse
After school Friday, August 18th all Windsor C-1 parking lots will be blocked off. The exception will be the high schools parking which will be open to allow access to the August 18th varsity football game, and for the August 19th volleyball tournament. Only participants and spectators for those events will be allowed on the high school campus. All other Windsor C-1 lots will be closed. After the volleyball tournament on August 19th the high school parking lots will be blocked off. Access to the lots will be re-opened for parking and viewing of the solar eclipse event as well as for people wanting to go to Kimmswick at 8:00 am on August 21st. No use of tobacco or tobacco related products including E-cigarettes, as well as alcohol will be allowed on campus.
Each lot will be provided with signs stating that the lot will be closed until 8:00 am on August 21st. No overnight parking will be allowed;. No RV parking of any kind will be allowed, and violators will be towed at the owners expense. The Windsor C-1 District will not provide access to restrooms (other than at the football field during viewing), electricity, or other amenities.
Event parking will be $5 per spot. Parking will be available at Windsor Elementary, Windsor Intermediate Center, Windsor Middle School, and Windsor High School. No transportation will be provided to and from Kimmswick.
During the event the Windsor Turf facilities and practice fields will be open for viewing. All spectators must follow the following guidelines while viewing from Windsor C-1 faculties. No cigarettes (e-cigarettes included), no alcohol, no pets, and no bicycles/strollers on the track or turf. Windsor C-1 will not be providing view glasses for spectators. During viewing the Windsor C-1 concession stand will be open by the Windsor Booster Club.
Windsor C-1 will be providing glasses for all its facility and students thanks to a grant, however anyone else interested in purchasing glasses can contact Alison Matthews represents Windsor’s Operation Graduation 2018. Alison’s group has purchased their own glasses to sell as part of a fund raiser for Operation Graduation.
