Dear WHS Families and Friends,
It is hard to believe that we are already past the quarter mark of our school year!
From the perspective of school climate, we had a wonderful beginning to our year. As we end our fall sports season, I could not be more proud of how our students represented themselves, WHS, and the Windsor community.
For those of you who have been on the WHS campus over the past several months, you undoubtedly have observed that there is a flurry of construction activity happening. With the overwhelming support of our community, we were able to pass a bond issue that has allowed us to put in an expanded auditorium, upgrades to our school entrance for increased security, and additional athletic fields for our baseball and softball programs.
These changes are easy to see and, upon completion, will be the ones that will draw the applause from our patrons. For years to come, these improvements will directly benefit our students and our community. Up here at Windsor, we couldn’t be more thankful to our community who shows support year after year.
In addition to the construction, we have been hard at work building learning capacity and student character as well. Just as our construction workers are putting in the effort with brick and mortar, our teacher are putting in effort to grow the minds, character, and leadership abilities of the WHS students.
Several years ago, I had someone say to me… “I don’t know what my neighbor’s ACT score was, however, what I do know is that he is a good neighbor.” Sometimes, it is our job as teachers, parents, and a community to ensure that our kids are learning the right values and character traits. We will continue to put our efforts into the betterment of our students and our community…because that type of construction is never completed.
As always, thank you for your continued support, and…GO OWLS!!!
