DID YOU KNOW:

The average cost of caring for a child born with spina bifida for life is said to be around $636,000.00. This is only an average cost, for many families the total cost may be over $1 million. The physical and emotional tolls upon the families affected are high as well.  Because of this, next week the Windsor International Thespian Society will be sponsoring Spina Bifida Awareness Week in order to raise money for Addie Pardeck in order to help pay for her medical bills, therapy and walking devices.  We will be selling bracelets and t-shirts throughout the week and taking donations.  On Thursday, October 19th, Addie will be coming in 1st hour and we will have a photo.  Those who wear the SB shirt or blue that day will be welcome in the photo.

Speech Team members we will be working on witches night out bags after school everyday October 9-13th and during OWL Times.  Everyone needs to participate.

October is Disabilities Awareness month. Check out the bulletin board in the commons.   You can participate by buying a ticket for $1.  Your name will be entered for a chance to win a fast pass to the front of lunch line for an entire month.  Tickets are on sale now during lunch and we will draw winners on each Friday during the month of October.  The money from the ticket sales will be donated to We Rock The Spectrum in Fenton.  If you have any questions, please let Mrs. Hershbarger know.
