WELCOME TO WINDSOR INTERMEDIATE
November is already here, and it is unbelievable how much our students and staff have accomplished so far this year.
Thank you to everyone who was able to be here or to make arrangements for parent/teacher conferences on the 26th. We had an amazing turnout for the event, and we appreciate all that you do to foster positive working relationships with our staff.
I would also like to thank the members of our parent-teacher organization, the ICO-PTO, and all of their efforts to support our staff through recognition, fundraising, etc., throughout the year. The next PTO meeting will be 12/15 at 6:30 PM in the I.C. Library. If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, come on out to one of the meetings to see what the PTO is all about.
Yet another thank you goes out to all of our parent volunteers who have worked in our buildings this year. Parents working side by side with our staff and students helps forge a bond between home and school that only benefits student learning and our school community as a whole.
One more thank you goes out to everyone who sold Entertainment Books this year. That money is used for a variety of things throughout the school and is an important part of what we’re able to do for students. Thank you for all of your sales efforts and financial support.
Our Veteran’s Day breakfast is November 9 at 7 AM in the cafeteria. Your students should have brought home sign-up/RSVP forms for veterans and family members to come help us recognize and celebrate our students’ friends and family who have served or are serving in the armed forces. Please make sure to RSVP for this event if you plan to attend so that we have enough breakfast, juice, and coffee for everyone.
Here is a list of important dates for the month of November:
11/9: Veteran’s Day Breakfast at 7:00 AM in the cafeteria (Must RSVP)
11/10: NO SCHOOL for Staff Development
11/13-11/30: Donation Drive to Benefit Brendan’s Backpacks (Details Forthcoming)
11/21: Progress Reports go home
11/22-24: NO SCHOOL for Thanksgiving Break
We are blessed to be able to work with your students everyday. Thank you for entrusting us with their care and safety, thank you for your support of your students’ learning, and thank you for your support of public education.
Dr. Matt Carlton
