Email Blast from Dr. Carlton

Dear Parents and Guardians of I.C. Students,

September is upon us, and we are already a few weeks into the new school year.  Students and staff are working as hard as ever, and this has been an outstanding start to the school year.

I wanted to send out a couple of reminders about upcoming events:

1) This Thursday, 9/6, from 5:30-6:30 PM is our WatchDOGS/SuperMOMS kickoff event in the I.C. cafeteria.  We will have pizza and beverages for anyone who attends.  I will send out more information on this in a separate email with more details.

2) Our Curriculum Night Chili Supper is Tuesday, 9/18, from 5:30-7 PM in the cafeteria.  Thank you to those of you who have already sent your money and RSVP for the event.  We will be sending reminder flyers home this week again for anyone who would still like to attend.  This will be a great opportunity to ask any questions you might have and to familiarize yourself with what your students will be learning this year.

Windsor Intermediate is now on both Facebook and Twitter.   Our Facebook page is “Windsor Intermediate Center” and our Twitter handle is @WindsorICNews if you are interested in following us.

Our new playground is currently under construction.  I don’t have a “move-in” date yet for that, but I know everyone will be excited to have some regular outdoor recesses.

Here are some important upcoming dates:

9/13 ICO-PTO Meeting 6:30 PM I.C. Cafeteria

9/14 Tom Evans Fundraiser ends and order forms are due.

9/14 ICO-PTO Gus’s Pretzel Day

9/21 Fall Picture Day!

9/24 No School for Students (Professional Development for Staff)

9/28 Homecoming Parade 1:00 PM

10/8 Tom Evans Fundraiser Items Pick Up 4-7 PM in the 3rd grade gym

10/12 Early Dismissal for Students and ICO-PTO Gus’s Pretzel Day

10/25 Parent Teacher Conferences and Early Dismissal

Thank you as always for supporting your students’ learning and for your support of public education.  We are blessed to be able to work with your students every day.  Thank you for sending them.

Respectfully,

Dr. Matt Carlton

I.C. Principal
