Dear Windsor Middle School Parents,
My name is Karl Shininger, and I am the Windsor Middle School Principal. I have been very fortunate to serve the Windsor C-1 School District as a teacher, coach, and curriculum coach. In addition to my time at Windsor, I have also worked in the Jefferson R-VII and Festus R-VI school districts. Although I grew up in northwest Ohio, my wife and I have been living in Jefferson County for the past eight years. We have three beautiful young children.
Our district mission is to inspire all students to develop a vision within themselves and become contributing members of society, by providing excellent educational opportunities founded on the fundamentals of a caring family, school and community. We take our role in carrying out the district’s mission seriously and hope to work closely with you to help your child become the best that they can be.
Windsor Middle School has adopted a code of conduct which will be incorporated into many aspects of our daily activities.
We are Windsor Middle School.
We will treat everyone with dignity and respect.
We will see the good in ourselves and in others.
We will look to encourage and help others in all situations.
We will not bully others, nor will we tolerate anyone who does.
We will leave every situation better than we found it.
We will not lie, cheat, or steal, nor will we tolerate anyone who does.
We will not blame others for the consequences that result from our actions.
We will make mistakes, and we will learn from those experiences.
We will apologize for our mistakes and work to fix the situation.
We will ensure that our classrooms are places where all students reach their fullest potential.
We will strive towards a higher level of understanding of the world around us.
This is the Windsor Middle School Way.
I am very excited about the upcoming school year and look forward to meeting you and your child. If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to contact me. If you see me at activities or events, please don’t be shy. Come up to me and say hello!
Karl Shininger, Ed.S.
