Fuel up to play is a joint effort between the Dairy Council and the NFL. The goal of the program is to get students eating healthy and exercising at least the recommended 60 minutes a day.
Windsor Middle School was chosen as a pilot site for this program for the spring of 2009. The hope is to expand the program further in the next school year.
14 WMS students serve as milk patrol members, this group of students is in charge of helping to organize Fuel Up to Play activities. Some activities include taste testing healthy foods at lunch and starting an all school walking club. We are also in competition with the other schools in the pilot program for a large NFL prize (based on most points/involvement of students).
