About Mrs. James

Current Certifications:
English Language Arts, grades 7-12
Special Education/Cross-Categorical, grades K-12

Professionally, I am thrilled to be starting my fifth year at Windsor Middle School. In addition to teaching seventh and eighth grade small group English Language Arts (ELA) classes, I co-teach ELA across all three grade levels. You may see me after school at times helping in Homework Lab or assisting Ms. Savage with the Robotics Club which we started in the 2017-18 school year.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English Language Arts from the University of Missouri, Columbia. I truly enjoy the spirit of learners at this exciting age; I look forward to supporting each student in being successful and to working in partnership with parents to accomplish this goal. Please contact me with any questions, concerns or feedback.

Please Note: I have a shared classroom space, so students may be present during plan time. If so, I may have to return calls of a confidential nature after school.

Personally, I was born and raised in St. Louis County near Grant’s Farm which is close to where I live now with my husband and two sons. My husband works for Maryville University where he manages a production studio space and creates cool, interactive pieces for on-line courses.  Tyler is my oldest son and is beginning eighth grade. He enjoys art, photography, and technology. Tyler plays the tenor saxophone and clarinet, and he is saving to buy a flute so that he can teach woodwinds at summer band camp when he reaches high school. My youngest son, Trevor, is entering fifth grade; he plays the drums, basketball, and flag football. Trevor loves rock music and YouTube. In my free time, I enjoy a variety of activities such as camping, hiking, biking, swimming, riding roller coasters, craft projects, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
