Guidelines

Middle School

Girl’s P.E.

Guidelines:

The Windsor Middle School P.E. department has Three rules:

  1. Dress Out
  2. Try
  3. Behave
  1. Dressing Out:
    • A change of clothes is required for class activity. Which means clothes that you wear to school cannot be worn for physical education class.
    • Class Attire: T-shirt, shorts or sweat pants, socks, and tennis shoes. (Tennis shoes should tie tight on the foot.)
    • Clothes are kept in student’s hallway lockers. It is best to have a small bag for their clothes and tennis shoes, including deodorant.
    • If your child has seen a doctor, a doctor’s note is required if your child can not participate in class. An excuse from a doctor is the only time a child will not be dressing out for class.
  2. Try:
    • Students must participate or receive a performance grade reduction.
  3. Behave:
    • Any conduct that requires more than a verbal correction will be dealt with as per Middle School Discipline Policy found in your daughter’s planner.

Grading Procedure:

Each student’s quarterly grade will be based on the following scale:

Activity Performance…………………………………..100% of quarterly grade

20% grade reduction if not prepared for class with PE clothes/tennis shoes and will not be allowed to participate in activity.

Written Assessment………………………………….. Periodically
