SanFrancisco Symphony Kids
The San Francisco Symphony has created a fabulous resource for children. Their website includes musical games, information about famous composers, and a classical music listening library. I encourage you and your child to explore the website together! In music class, we lie down on the floor and close our eyes while we listen quietly to music. Maybe you and your family can try the same at home! Recently the students listened to Largo from Symphony No. 9, from a New World by Antonin Dvorak.
The Kindergarteners created pieces of music using Sid the Science Kid’s Sandbox Symphony. The students made music with animal sounds, nature sounds, and found objects. You can find the Sandbox Symphony here:
PBS Kids also has other music games. Check them out with your child and make music together!
